A reference Manual for Community Land Management Committees (CLMCs)
The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning in partnership with the National Land Commission, Namati, Natural Justice and KWCA have published a reference manual for Community Land Management Committees (CLMCs) to guide them through the process of community land pre-registration, during registration and post registration.
The manual will support CLMCs to better understand how to collaborate with their communities to meet the legal requirements under the Community Land Act 2016 (CAP 287), safeguarding the rights of all members and ensuring long term benefits for the entire community.
The manual further simplifies the registration process, define the roles and responsibilities of the CLMC in administrating and managing community lands and strategies for expanding and exploring benefits to communities.
